宮原眼科 Miyahara

台中之旅最後一站﹣宮原眼科買手信！宮原眼科以前是眼科醫院，之後被日出集團買了再整修後，裡面保留著歷史的痕跡並推出餐飲服務，有雪糕珍珠奶茶手信餐廳。但我們真的太飽所以沒吃雪糕，不過很多人排隊應該很好吃

Last stop of our Taichung trip - buying souvenirs at the Miyahara! It was an eye hospital before and acquired by the company famous for selling dawn cakes.  After renovation, the company sold food and beverages inside Miyahara, such as icecream, bubble tea, souvenirs and operated a restaurant there.  I guess the icecream must be tasty as there were many people queuing up for that, but we were too full to try!

We walked back to our hotel after crazy shopping, luckily the shop is close to the Taichung station

從彩虹眷村搭的士去德國秘密旅行吃午餐 (地址：台中市西區華美街412-1號). 一聽名字已經大概猜到是德國菜吧，但想不到裡面是這樣的夢幻！店員都是德國童話故事人物的打扮，餐廳不同的樓層有不同的主題，menu 好像是手畫的很漂亮，重要是食物很大份很好吃！！！真的有回到德國旅行的感覺 :D 

We took a cab from the Rainbow Military Community to the Traveler Kitchen (Germany) for lunch (address: Taichung, Xi District, Hua Mei Street 412-1).  We knew it is serving Germany specialty but can't believe it was that fairy-tale like! The staff there all dressed like fairy-tale characters, there are different themes on different levels, pretty hand-drawn menu with generous portion of delicious food! We felt like travelling back in times to our exchange trips in Germany :D 

吃飽後就散步去勤美術館，很喜歡在城市中綠化的概念，不過我們去當天勤美術館沒開 hahaha 轉戰附近的勤美誠品 :) 

We walked to CMP Block after our full lunch. Love the idea of having green in the busy city centre, but well the CMP Block is not opened on our day of visit so we went to the Eslite bookstore nearby :)

看到朋友在台中彩虹眷村拍攝的照片很特別，所以有點遠也去
也是選了的士，而且的士司機說不跳錶等候再載我們走，不然應該不太容易自遊行去

彩虹眷村經過老兵黃伯伯畫了壁畫後應該吸引很多人去參觀
不是很大的地方，很彩色，因為黃伯伯是香港人所以會看到劉德華等明星的抽象畫 hahaha 還有林書豪 XD
但是聽說可能很快要拆了.. 趁還在去參觀吧！有緣還會看到黃伯伯 :D

We took taxi there.  If not our taxi driver said he would wait for us and drive us to the next destination without charging extra, it would be quite inconvenient to get there on our own actually

The Rainbow Military Community must have attracted many people after an ex-soldier Mr. Wong painted on the walls.  The place is not very huge and covered wit colourful paintings.  Since Mr. Wong lives in HK before, there are also Picasso-style paintings of Andy Lau lol and also Jeremy Lin

Have a look there before it is closed down! you will also meet Mr. Wong if you are lucky

逢甲夜市 Feng Chia Night Market

逢甲夜市在逢甲大學旁，之前有想過搭巴士但實在需要等很久和車程很遠，所以直接搭的士 haha

Feng Chia Night Market is next to the Feng Chia University in Taichung.  Thought of taking the bus to get there but finally decided to take a cab to save the waiting and travelling time

就是整晚都在吃喝看買，沒甚麼特別但很開心！因為到很晚也很多人，沒有像過去幾天在山山天黑然後就睡覺 haha

Had been eating, drinking, sightseeing and shopping all night.  We were very happy as there was still many people on the streets even late at night, unlike our life on the mountains where people went to bed when sun sets... lol

終於回到市區！住也要時尚一點 hahaha 這次我們住在台中車站新驛旅店。
橙色的標誌很搶眼，大堂有休息的空間也可以讓我們收拾最後一刻掃貨的戰利品，早餐很豐富，服務人員很貼心，房間裝修很舒服，價錢也不貴
不過如果拿著很多行李的要留意，在台中車站到新驛旅店要步行到"後站"的出口，是地下的隧道但中間有樓梯，所以這個有點不方便

Finally back to the city! we lived in the CityInn Hotel (Taichung station branch) this time, a modern and nice hostel!
The sharp-orange-coloured logo, with a bright and wide lobby for guests to take a rest and to pack the souvenirs from last-min shopping, nice breakfast, friendly staff, nice room decoration and not very expensive
However please beware if you are carrying a lot of luggage, you have to walk through an underground with quite some stairs to exit at the "Rear Taichung station" when you walk from the Taichung station to the hotel.

看完日出 hea 完 就搭共乘車離開阿里山去嘉義回台中。這趟共乘車用了阿里山鐵道旅遊網的服務 共乘價:每人 400元◆阿里山 - 奮起湖 - 嘉義車站 ( 12:00出發 ) 

在阿里山7-11 前集合，可以吃關東煮後才離開！

We left Alishan for Jiayi to return to Taichung at night.  We used the carpooling service of "Yoyo-alishan" this time   Carpool price: TWD400   Alishan-Fenqi Hu- Jiayi station (leaving at 12pm)

Just have to gather in front of the Alishan 7-11 and leave after having snacks there!

第一站奮起湖！也叫畚箕湖，是地形低窪三面環山所以有這個名稱。沒有湖只有鐵路，因為曾經是阿里山森林鐵路的重要站，所以鐵路便當也很有名。我覺得跟九份有點像，一條不是很長的老街，很懷舊的氛圍。只有一個多小時所以有點趕

搭了很耐車到達第二站地久橋! 不是很清楚為甚麼有這座橋，也看不到天長橋ㅋㅋㅋ

Took a long while to get to our second stop - Dijiu Qiao (literally meaning a bridge of long-lasting love). Not quite sure why is such a bridge anyways lol 

不過過橋很恐佈因為橋不停地搖而且人數遠超過許可人數...
It was pretty scary when crossing the bridge as it was shaking fiercely and the number of people walking on the bridge was far more than allowed...

全程車3 個多小時就去到嘉義車站(也可以選嘉義高鐵站, 看之後行程需要), 然後我們乘國光客運回台中車站

It took around 3.5 hrs to get to the Jiayi station (could also choose to stop at the Jiayi High Speed Rail station), and we took the Kingbus back to Taichung station.

參加了民宿的TWD300看日出團,  一清早４點多起床出發到玉山！在阿里山也可以乘小火車到祝山看日出，不過聽說會很多人而且玉山的位置比較高，所以選了這個團

We joined the TWD300 sunrise tour to Yushan in our hostel and woke up at around 4am to go to Yushan.  You can actually take the "little train" to Zhushan to watch the sunrise in Alishan too, but as we heard that it would be very crowded and the location of Yushan is a bit higher, we chose to join this tour.

沿途會有小停站，包括昨天經過的夫妻樹跟塔塔加，不同時間看有不同感覺吧
There are some stopping points on the way, including the Couples tree and Tataka we passed by yesterday.

Unfortunately, we could not see the sunrise on that day as it was cloudy...

阿里山森林遊樂區神木步道 Alishan Forest Recreation Area Giant Tree Plank Trail (Shenmu)

在阿里山裡有很多不同的步道(可去阿里山的網頁看看），這次行了森林遊樂區的神木步道

There are many walking trails in Alishan (can visit their website for more info). We chose the Giant Tree Plank Trail this time

民宿老板娘提醒我們沼平站到神木站是下坡，比較好行，全長大約２個多小時
our minsu host reminded us that it's better to walk from  Zhaoping station to Shenmu station as it's downward sloping all the way.  It took around 2.5 hrs for the whole walk.
