日月潭-> 阿里山 Sun Moon Lake -> Alishan

從日月潭是暫時沒有共乘車到阿里山 (有一家阿里山全方位旅遊的網頁上說有但是其實沒有，可以問問), 所以我們決定搭公車﹣員林客運﹣去阿里山. 3.5 hrs. 哈哈去之前聽朋友說會坐得很不舒服，但是我覺得還可以，起碼常暈車的我居然沒嘔！應該是中間有休息的地方跟一些景點吧，而且由熟路的司機載我們好像會更安全

從水社旅客中心出發, 每天兩班 (8am & 9am), 建議前一天先在水社旅客中心買票 (TWD350) 因為容易滿座

There is no carpool service from Sun Moon Lake to Alishan at the moment (one of the carpool companies "lets-go-alishan" mentioned on its website that there's such a service but there's none in reality when I made enquiries... can enquire with it again to see if there are any updates), so we decided to take public transportation - the Yunlin bus - to Alishan which took 3.5 hrs.  It's not that uncomfortable as my friend said probably because there are many rest points on the way, and it looked safer to have a driver who's familiar with the area to drive us there.

The bus departed from the Shueishe Tourist Centre at 8am &9am everyday.  It is better to purchase the tickets (TWD350) from the Shueishe Tourist Centre a day before as it gets full pretty easily.

朵麗絲的家 Doris House + 日月餐坊 Sun Moon Restaurant

這次在日月潭住在朵麗絲的家民宿，到處都是貓咪的裝飾而且很整潔。民宿主人小游一家都很好客，晚上有生果、早餐是自家製的，也可以借單車遊湖，可惜這次只留了一天左右，下次可以踏單車去伊達邵碼頭那邊，應該很不錯！

地點也很方便，離水社碼頭﹠水社旅客中心大概３分鐘路程，就在旁邊有一家日月餐坊，我們在那兒吃了晚餐很好吃！

朵麗絲的家只有３間客房，所以要碰碰運氣跟提早訂。小游很快回覆的 :)

We stayed at the Doris Home in Sun Moon Lake.  It is clean and full of cats decoration.  The host is very friendly and provided us with fruits at night and handmade breakfast in the morning.  You can also borrow their bicycles to tour around the lake, but since we stayed for only one day in Sun Moon Lake this time, would like to travel to the Yuchich Township Pier side next time!

The location is very convenient with only 3-min walking distance from the Shueishe Pier and the Shueishe Tourist Centre.  There's also a Sun Moon restaurant right next to our minsu and we had dinner there - delicious!

But there are only 3 rooms for booking in the Doris Home, have to act quick! and the host will reply you rather quickly :)

住一晚雲品酒店很貴不過下午茶還可以！在酒店大堂旁邊，食物很精緻也是觀賞日落的好地方！
可以坐環湖巴士在文武廟附近下車就可以 (時間表: http://www.sunmoonlake.gov.tw/TravelInfo/TrafficInfo/trafficinforound/Businfo.htm)

It is pretty expensive to stay at the Fleur de Chine Hotel but the high tea was acceptable! the restaurant is located next to the hotel lobby, food looks nice and you can view the sunset from here as well

can travel there by the Lake Tour Bus and get off near the Wunwu Temple (bus schedule: http://www.sunmoonlake.gov.tw/English/TravelInfoEng/LakeTour/LakeTourBus.htm)

吃很飽然後利用環湖步道走回水社碼頭，原來需要35-40 分鐘同埋有點暗，不過可以欣賞日月潭的風景很好

We walked back to the Shueishe Pier using a "lake walking trail", took us 35-40mins in the dark.. but is a pretty good way to enjoy the scenery of the Sun Moon Lake

清境的重點！就是照片上看到很美的地方，驚喜是可以看到以為沒得看的綿羊show :) 因為我們聽說只有週末才有但我們星期５去...
我們是坐民宿的車去(一般都應該有專車因為比較遠), 大約15 分鐘就到了！
入到去記住打手印，那麼到其他的園區就不用在買票，真的很大很大！

Highlight of Cingjing with picture-like scenery, and to our surprise we could watch the sheep show that is supposed to be shown during weekends only (we went there on a Friday)!
We went there by car service provided by our minsu (took around 15mins)
And remember to stampchop near the entrance then you won't have to pay when you visit other areas of the farm, it's a really big place!

雲濛仙境 - 雲南擺夷菜 Misty Villa - Yunnan specialty dish

來到清境想吃地道食物，就去雲濛仙境 (http://www.misting.com.tw/food.php) 嘗了雲南擺夷菜。好像是因為以前很多雲南人被流放到清境，聚集一齊便形成特色。其實在計劃中也看到別人說 “清境魯媽媽” “雲舞樓” 等也不錯，但是距離有點遠，所以去了從小瑞士花園步行約５分鐘的雲濛仙境。老板娘說７點前就不用等位，可能我們是在平日去，所以也不是很滿座

We decided to go to the Misty Villa (http://www.misting.com.tw/food.php) for traditional Yunnan specialty dish.  We were told that as many Yunnan people were exiled to Cingjing in the past, their cooking style became a tradition.  We noted from our planning that there are other pretty nice restaurants such as "Lumama" and the "Yunwu", yet as they are quite far away, we chose the Misty Villa which is within 5-min walking distance from Swiss Garde.   The boss said we won't have to queue up if we arrive before 7pm and as we saw the restaurant was not full probably because we went there during weekdays.

另外想讚揚這民宿的服務，他們見我們兩人沒有包車而且住很遠，主動提出載我們回民宿 “不能讓客人在黑暗的地方走回去吧”  出門遇好人 :)  下次有機會也想住在他們那裡，主人說每一間房間都能看日出！

By the way would want to thank this minsu for its extraordinary service! They initiated to drive the two of us back after knowing that our minsu was quite far away and we did not rent a car.   Really nice of them :)  Would also like to stay in their minsu if I visit Cingjing next time as they said customers can watch the sunrise from every room in the Misty Villa!

紙箱王餐廳好像在台灣有很多分店，不過既然一場來到就去看看最高的紙箱王餐廳吧 （真正的原因可能是清境晚上沒包車的話沒有甚麼地方好去吧 hahaha)

地點就是在小瑞士花園旁邊，可以在這裡用午晚餐，也有特色博物館跟紀念品店, 在這裡消費滿 TWD300 就可以送小瑞士花園的入場卷

不過因為我們晚餐想吃道地菜所以只在紙箱王吃了午餐, 食物還可以, 店員服務很好

There appears to be many Carton King Restaurants in Taiwan but since we travelled all the way to Cingjing, let's visit the "highest" Carton King!

It is right next to the Swiss Garde and it serves lunch and dinner.  There is also a special paper museum there with souvenir shop.  If you spend over TWD300 in Carton King, you can get free entry to Swiss Garde.

However, as we wanted to try local dinner, we only had a quick lunch in Carton King.  The food is okay and the staff is helpful

聽說在下午5/6 點以後買票第二天可以免費再多去一次

我們這次幸運地另外有買一送一優惠!! 很划算 haha

Swiss Garde is located at the central (?) tourist part of Cingjing with the Carton King restaurant and tourist centre nearby, and opposite to the Guomin Hotel.
You are also entitled to a free visit the next day if you visit the Swiss Garde at after 5/6 pm.  We even got a buy-one-get-one-free discount this time! 

小瑞士花園其實不太大，有一些人造的裝飾，拍照還不錯的

另外順帶一提，因為我們在日落之後才從民宿出發，所以天很暗，本來從地圖上看以為一條路可以直達，但原來是上斜而且路很窄也沒有街燈，幸好有好心人載我們出去！短短５分鐘已經很感動    不過如果時間可以建議坐民宿的車啦

Just a little side note: it looks from the map that we can travel from hostel to Swiss Garde by a straight road, however, in reality it's an upward-sloping narrow road without street lamps... sort of scary since we left after sunset and it got very dark.  But luckily there's a kind uncle who drove us there.. really touched although it's only a 5-min drive.   Highly recommended to take the car provided by minsu if time allows.
